Geospatial & Grid Access Manager · IT Manager
iAccess Energy GmbH
Three areas of responsibility in one role: geoinformatics, grid connection and IT.
- Ownership of the company's grid connection procedures across the entire process — from initial enquiry to binding commitment, across several grid operators and voltage levels, for a project pipeline in the triple-digit megawatt range
- Automation of procedural correspondence through an AI-assisted data pipeline: incoming messages and attachments are captured, parsed and assigned to the right case — multi-stage procedures stay fully documented without manual work
- Design of the company's central working system: a bespoke data model with an application on top, through which several departments jointly manage projects, procedures and correspondence — instead of scattered mailboxes and individual filing
- Build-up of an end-to-end data model of utility infrastructure from operator records: obtained, referenced, digitised — the basis for site assessment, route finding and the protection of existing lines
- Processing of large geospatial datasets — LiDAR, digital terrain models — as a basis for planning and decisions
- Central responsibility for IT as the only specialist in the company: communication and collaboration standards, servers and hardware, IT security
- Scaling through method: technical leadership of part-time staff who work productively on their own through the models and processes I built
